Sandstone Patios in Cambridgeshire
Natural sandstone is the most forgiving and characterful paving you can choose — every flag is genuinely unique. We hand-lay sandstone patios across Cambridge, Huntingdon, Peterborough and Bedfordshire's villages, with the bedding and jointing detail that separates a 5-year patio from a 25-year one.
Sandstone ranges we install
Indian Raj Green
Riven, multi-tonal green-grey sandstone — popular on traditional Cambridgeshire cottages and barn conversions where a softer, weathered finish suits the brickwork.
Mint Fossil
Pale cream-buff with subtle fossil markings. Brightens shaded courtyards and works beautifully against red brick or limestone walls.
Autumn Brown
Warm russet tones that mature gracefully. A natural complement to Cotswold-style properties and gravel borders.
Kandla Grey
Cool, contemporary grey with hand-dressed edges — a natural-stone alternative when porcelain feels too clinical.
Modak / Raveena
Pink-peach blended sandstone with distinct natural variation. No two flags identical, ideal for organic, garden-led designs.
Yorkstone (reclaimed)
Genuine reclaimed British sandstone where character and provenance matter — typically specified for listed properties around Stamford and Oundle.
How we lay sandstone properly
- Hand-dressed, calibrated 22mm flags laid on a full mortar bed (never spot-bedded) for long-term stability
- Sealed on completion with a breathable impregnating sealer to limit staining and stop salt efflorescence
- All cuts made on a wet saw on site — no chipped edges, no dust on your house
- Pointed in colour-matched flexible jointing compound, not weak sand-and-cement that washes out by year three
