The detail we never skip
- Full tanking of wet zones (shower areas, behind baths) with a liquid membrane system before any tile goes on — this is what stops the leak-through-the-ceiling phone call in year three
- Floors over-boarded with 6mm tile backer (not skim) and decoupled with a matting where moisture risk is high
- Concealed cistern frames mounted to structural noggins, not just plasterboard — quiet flush, solid wall-hung loo for 20+ years
- Thermostatic showers plumbed with proper isolation valves so future servicing doesn't mean draining the whole house
- Extractor fans sized to BS 6465 — properly extracted bathrooms don't grow black mould around the ceiling

Removing a bath and installing a fully tanked, level-access wet-room shower — popular for both aesthetics and accessibility. Includes floor build-up adjustments and gradient screeding.
